Product Description

P-hydroxyacetophenone is white acicular crystal at room temperature. It is combustible and soluble in hot water, methanol, ethanol, ether, acetone and benzene, but insoluble in petroleum ether. It naturally exists in the stems and leaves of Artemisia littoralis, a Compositae plant, and in the roots of Artemisia capillaris, ginseng, waervine and other plants of Asclepiadaceae. This product is used for manufacturing cholagogic drugs and other raw materials for organic synthesis. Animal experiments show that this product can increase the secretion of bile in rats, increase the excretion of solids, cholic acid and bilirubin in bile, and have the same effect on liver injury caused by carbon tetrachloride.
